Prices are labor starting points and do not include strings, parts, unusual damage, seized hardware, finish work, or major retrofitting unless noted. Final pricing is confirmed after the instrument is inspected at the bench.

With every service

You receive written bench documentation

Every completed service includes a take-home record of the work performed, setup measurements, repair notes, parts or materials used when applicable, and care recommendations for the instrument.

  • Final setup measurements for action, relief, pickup height, and intonation where applicable.
  • Repair procedure notes so you know what was inspected, adjusted, cleaned, repaired, or replaced.
  • Photo documentation for detailed repairs, vintage work, fretwork, electronics, and structural jobs.
  • Certificate of Authenticity included when purchasing validation or authentication service.

Setup & Maintenance

Playability work: strings, relief, action, intonation, cleaning, and bridge balance.

Standard Setup

From $75+

New strings supplied by the customer, fretboard cleaning and conditioning, truss rod adjustment, tremolo adjustment to preference, lubrication at string contact points, precision intonation, action adjustment, electronics cleaning, and body/fretboard cleaning and polish.

Add-ons

Does not include strings or parts. NL means non-locking. Bass string-count choices are intended for 4, 5, and 6 string basses.

Premium / Full Professional Setup

From $150+

Includes everything in the Standard Setup plus fret leveling under string tension, fret re-crowning, fret end rounding, high-polish fret finish, and a complete detail cleaning and polish.

Does not include strings or parts.

Restring & Clean

From $25+

Restring, fretboard wipe/condition as appropriate, light cleaning, stretch, tune, and quick playability check.

Strings are separate unless supplied by the customer.

Fretwork

Fret repairs require accurate setup geometry. Level and refret pricing assumes non-cosmetic work.

Fret Edge Dress

$60

Smooth sharp fret ends and minor edge discomfort.

Full Fret Level, Crown & Polish

$150 as part of Premium Setup

Level, re-crown, and polish the frets. Setup is required afterward.

Partial Fret Level

From $20+

Localized high-fret correction when a full level is not needed.

Requires setup after fret correction.

Full Refret

From $250+

Replace all frets. Refrets include fingerboard leveling where appropriate; setup is required.

Add-ons

Full refrets include full setup service. New nut may be required depending on fret size.

Loose or Partial Frets

From $8+

Glue loose frets or replace individual damaged frets.

Setup may be required depending on the repair.

Nuts & Saddles

Nut and saddle work is fit to the instrument. Final playability depends on setup after the part is installed.

Nut Replacement

From $50+

Install and fit a replacement nut. Setup is required for final slot height and performance.

Add-ons

Add setup. Lacquered-over nuts are removed as carefully as possible; finish touch-up is separate.

Acoustic Saddle Replacement

From $50+

Fit a new acoustic saddle or correct saddle height/shape.

Material and setup are separate unless quoted together.

Electronics & Wiring

Noise, no output, weak signal, switching problems, pickup installs, and custom wiring.

Electronics Repair

From $30+

Diagnose and repair jacks, pots, switches, pickups, grounds, and intermittent signal problems.

Parts are separate. Complex troubleshooting is billed by estimate.

Pickup Installation

From $50+

Install electric or acoustic pickups and verify output, phase, and control function.

Add-ons

Some pickup installs require a restring or setup depending on the instrument.

Hardware Upgrades

From $30+

Install or repair common guitar hardware including bridges, tuners, strap buttons, tremolo blocks, and pickguards.

Parts are separate.

Authentication & Documentation

Picture verification, vintage documentation, provenance notes, repair-process booklets, and certificate packets.

Vintage Instrument Authentication

$25-$50

Photograph and document serial numbers, neck dates, body cavities, electronics, hardware, factory markings, condition notes, and repair history into a color documentation booklet with Certificate of Authenticity when appropriate.

Includes a color booklet documenting the verification and/or repair process. Scope depends on how much disassembly, photo documentation, historical lookup, and COA preparation is needed.

Structural & Advanced Repair

Acoustic structure, headstock breaks, bridge reglues, tuners, hardware, and custom repair work.

Bridge Reglue

From $110+

Remove and reglue a lifting acoustic bridge.

A new saddle or setup may be needed after bridge work.

Crack / Brace Repair

From $85+

Repair acoustic cracks, loose braces, and internal structure.

Finish touch-up is separate unless included in the estimate.

Headstock / Neck Repair

From $85+

Headstock breaks, neck resets, tuner work, and neck pocket repairs.

Severe breaks, missing wood, finish work, and vintage instruments require inspection.

Custom Work

By quote

Mods, unusual repairs, templates, routing, restoration planning, and custom fabrication.

Studio & Mobile Service

From $220+

Mobile setup service for studios and high-end collections.

Setup service is billed at the same labor price as in-shop work. Travel is $0.65 per mile from Torrance, CA and will be confirmed before booking.
